Call for Abstract
Call for the submission of abstracts to be considered for presentation during the 6th African Retinal Society (ARS) Scientific Conference and Annual General Meeting.
Theme: Expanding Retinal Frontiers: Innovation, Collaboration, and Access in Africa
Expanding Retinal Frontiers: Innovation, Collaboration, and Access in Africa reflects the urgent need to advance retinal science while addressing the growing burden of preventable and treatable retinal blindness across the continent. The theme highlights the role of innovation in diagnostics, therapeutics, and surgical techniques, alongside the importance of collaboration among clinicians, researchers, institutions, and health systems. Most importantly, it emphasizes expanding access to quality retinal care through capacity building, training, and sustainable service models. Together, these pillars aim to translate scientific progress into meaningful visual outcomes for millions of Africans at risk of vision loss.
