Advancing Retinal Care & Collaboration in Africa
To reduce African visual disability and blindness by promoting the education and professional interaction of vitreoretinal specialists, providing optimal care for patients with vitreoretinal diseases, and encouraging, through clinical and basic research, the discovery and development of new means to further patient care.
What We Do
Welcome to the African Retina Society
Ophthalmologists from across the African continent, as well as international colleagues who have a specific interest in the field of retina. Our aim is to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing, ultimately improving patient outcomes and advancing the field of retina care in Africa.
In addition to educational sessions, the Africa Retina Society Meeting also provides opportunities for networking and socializing, allowing attendees to connect with colleagues and establish new professional relationships. The conference is held in a different African city each year, providing a unique opportunity to experience the diversity and richness of African culture.
We invite all retina specialists and ophthalmologists with an interest in retina care to join us at the Africa Retina Society Meeting, where we can learn from each other and work towards a brighter future for retina care in Africa.
